Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Principal Software Engineer with SAP Ariba Platform team, you can accelerate the innovation, design, and delivery of the next generation of Ariba cloud experience.
Ariba provides critical business processes involving thousands of buying organization, millions of sellers across the globe, and several millions of users.
- Lead, design and implement innovations to the Ariba Platform.
- Work on complex, large scale, distributed, and concurrent systems to build and maintain code.
- Involved in architecting and developing a scalable and robust Platform capabilities.
- Work in and develop core components for the Ariba cloud that include persistence, meta- data model, object model framework, common data server, customization framework, UI frameworks.
- Master the art of the framework design and modeling, understand the impact of object model design in a largescale multitenant on demand environment.
- You will be member of the core Ariba cloud platform engineering team and will work on solving scalability and performance problems.
- Ensure that code is tested, quality is ensured, and code meets specifications and standards.
- Partner with team members to create and maintain interfaces and services that support existing applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and functional specs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in computer science or equivalent work experience
- 10 + years’ developing production grade, scalable, multi-threaded web applications
- 5+ years’ experience developing in Typescript (both front-end and back-end functionality)
- Demonstrated hands on experience in ExpressJS, Angular, React
- Expertise developing low code/no code platforms
- Experienced with Webpack or similar tools
- Solid knowledge in V8 Engine, Garbage collection, JIT & AOT compilation, different kind of workers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on knowledge of Java, Spring and Spring Boot Frameworks, Web-Assembly, JavaScript frameworks, CSS and HTML
- Experienced in writing reusable code
- Solid cloud-computing concepts
- Good knowledge in Accessibility: WCAG 2.0 AA and AAA

The targeted combined range for this position is $177,900 - 392,100 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
