This role plays a key part in improving every customer interaction irrespective of the touchpoint and improving the way our websites support customers to fulfil their needs. You will as a Senior DevOps Engineer work in the team that is responsible for shaping and the adoption of DXS and IES wide Data Infrastructure & Analytics Services. These services accelerate and enable value-add data driven customer experience solutions.

The role is positioned in the global unit Digital Experience Solutions (DXS) in the Intelligent Enterprise Services (IES) which strives to provide and evolve a seamless and superior experience in the area of SAP’s customer-facing IT.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Develop, configure, and maintain DEV, STAGE, PROD environments through DevOps / DevSecOps best practices
• Develop automation and processes to enable team to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor platform application and infrastructure
• Communicate with stakeholders in terms of integrations with product
• Work within an Agile team and adopt Agile ways of working and best practices 

 Role Requirements:

• Cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP), Azure preferred
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and management
• Proficient in working with streaming platforms, such as Kafka
• Understanding of containerization concepts, including Docker and container orchestration
• Knowledge of software building tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux based systems including hardware, software and applications
• CI/CD - preparation and automation of the process of building, testing, verifying code quality, and then implementing it in the server environment using dedicated tools – Azure DevOps/Jenkins
• Implementation of a scalable, flexible and self-healing application and application infrastructures
• Process automation to eliminate errors resulting from the "human factor", i.e. IaC (Infrastructure as Code) – Terraform/Ansible
• Proficient in one of the scripting languages: Bash/Python
• Experienced in writing scripts and code related to automation software and Infrastructure solutions
• Good experience with configuration management tools
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills in the English language (English is working language)
• Ability to work in an international environment and act as team player
• Academic degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering

About the Team:

The ability to provide the best possible customer experience and subsequently business performance results is heavily predicated on providing relevant and timely content and communications to our customers.

Relevancy is highly correlated with currency and as such, the time it takes to convert customer behaviour into new insights and interaction is key. This is the case at every stage of the customer lifecycle for every customer on every topic. To that end, we need the ability to continuously “observe” our customer interactions with SAP to “analyze/interpret” these interactions and to “interact” with our customers in real time in a personalized way based on their past and immediate behaviour.

We need to, through continuous actionable insight, improve the customer and user experience at every step in their journey by interacting at the right moment with the right content and service, also by using AI/ML modelling. Real time event processing enables that.

In order to achieve above we need to further develop our Data Infrastructure & Services capabilities onto which we build new modern data driven services and solutions. 

The team is located in Poland (mainly Warsaw) where we develop the mentioned modern Data & Analytics Infrastructure Services but more importantly support building the reference adoption and consumption use cases for the various DXS Customer touch points. We work remotely but we also meet from time to time at the office at Varso Tower.
