Summary
As a Senior Backend Engineer within the Platform Services Group, you will help build a seamless administration and governance experience for the customers of our SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite. You will join our team that works in the domain of Identity Management and take a vital role in driving new features, helping our largest customers to get the best value out of our suite.

What you'll do

• Being part of a talented team, embracing agile principles and values.
• Drive product development from ideation to data-driven improvements.
• Bootstrap, develop, maintain and operate both new (micro) services and existing applications end-2-end, following either traditional server-based or serverless principles.
• Serve as the team's DevOps champion, implementing best practices and leading initiatives for efficient development
• Partner with other teams and individuals across the organization to tackle intricate technical & business challenges.
• Uphold stringent security guidelines, safeguarding our operations and data.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams relying on agile methodologies
• Passionate about fast iterations, test driven development, pair programming, pragmatic development approaches and fail-fast attitude
• Hands-on knowledge of Java and TypeScript; exposure to functional programming is a plus
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases, ideally MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and other related cloud technologies
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like CircleCI, ArgoCD
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Kibana, and/or Grafana
• Experience with message-based systems, and/or serverless architectures
• Experience in safely and efficiently refactoring larger pieces of code
• You are a strong team player and communicator
• You have a continuous-learning attitude and are passionate about growing yourself and supporting your peers in their growth
• Experience in the domain of user management, provisioning and authentication is a plus
