The Platform Services Group is part of the Platform Group, one of five groups in the engineering department of SAP Signavio unit. We value consistency, modularity & re-usability, as well as simplicity.

Summary

As a Senior Business & Data Analyst in the Platform Services Group, your mission is to bridge the gap between business needs and analytical technology solutions, facilitating stakeholders in deriving valuable cross-product and cross-tenant insights from their data.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will contribute to reference analytics cases and serve as a thought leader, enabler, and connector across the SAP Signavio Product & Engineering unit.

What you will do

As a Senior Business & Data Analyst, you will:

• Connecting data sources, modeling data, and creating actionable dashboards and reports.
• Partnering with stakeholders like product owners, product manager and others to align on how and where valuable insights can be useful.
• Liaising with fellow Data Analysts & Engineers on raw data needs and structures.
• Building a deep knowledge of our product's domains by understanding the needs of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
• Contributing to the implementation of data mesh principles in an existing and rapidly emerging data & analytics landscape by
  • Creating blueprints, guidelines & governance rules for data products that enable distributed data ownership.
  • Evangelize data mesh principles and educate stakeholders on its benefits.
  • Enable other teams across SAP Signavio to provide analytical artefacts to our customers and our own organization.
• Acting as a thought Leader for Analytics at SAP Signavio, connecting people across the organization towards a data driven movement

Would be great if you bring

• 5+ years data & analytics experience: Translating data into actionable insights with a structured approach.
• Dashboard Expertise: Proficient in creating dashboards with tools like SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or similar.
• Data Storytelling & Communication: Strong at conveying complex ideas in writing and verbally to diverse audiences.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation. Bonus: Experience in pipeline automation with tools like Airflow and in development flows based on git version control system.
• Data Mesh & Data Product: A plus if you have practical experience with data mesh and data product ownership, also from an enablement perspective.
• Mentoring & Enablement: Skills to foster a data & analytics mindset in stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Management: Proactive in negotiating, managing expectations, and obtaining buy-in.
• Curiosity & Problem-Solving: Driven by curiosity to explore solution spaces for diverse challenges.
• Shared Solutions Ownership: Experience in owning shared solutions and providing services.
• Continuous Improvement & Agile: Valuing continuous improvement and agile principles
