Job Title: IT Architecture Manager - Upgrades

We are looking for an accomplished: IT Architecture Manager - Upgrades who is well versed in delivering consistent, high-quality results to join our SAP Enterprise Cloud Services team. You will contribute to SAP's global strategy by supporting our customers with their SAP S/4 HANA adoption on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise as part of the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services team.

The Role:

  • As an IT Architecture Manager - Upgrades, you will be responsible for the technical and architectural discussions with the customer, solution roadmap development. You must:
  • Lead the ECS Upgrade TSM team with direct responsibility for the implementation of the processes to deliver high quality migration service.
  • Actively collaborates with the other regions and global initiatives as part of the leadership team.
  • Provides effective financial stewardship and demonstrate value creation for customers and for SAP Enterprise Cloud Services.
  • Executes robust delivery of the plan against defined KPIs & goals.
  • Manages internal and external resources, ensuring business critical and innovative results.
  • Bring comprehensive knowledge on SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools.
  • Analyze and implement SAP support methodology.
  • Ability to own, lead and coordinate operational tasks, escalations, process improvements.
  • Deliver high quality upgrades to ensure stable operations. 
  • Ability to handle system release upgrades and System conversions for different SAP components like S/4 HANA, Business Warehouse, Business Objects.

What you bring

  • Minimum 16 years of overall experience in IT software and services.
  • 12+ years of SAP BASIS administration experience related to upgrades, performance issues and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong background in SAP Solutions, products, and technologies.
  • Experience in technical planning, implementation and configuration for Release upgrade   and System conversions.
  • Deep experience in technical planning, implementation, and configuration for Release 
  • upgrade and System conversions for different SAP components 
  • Troubleshooting skills related to upgrade issues, performance problems at different layers like SAP application & Databases.
  • Solid understanding as well as experience in SAP HANA.
  • Good knowledge on S/4HANA architectures and S/4HANA related migration paths and tools
  • Should have knowledge on upgrade tools like SUM, DMO.
  • Knowledge across multiple SAP and non-SAP technologies would be Plus.
  • Ability to coordinates delivery and projects in a heterogeneously environment.
  • Comfortable handling challenging situations is a MUST including managing de-escalation conversations with senior stakeholders at SAP and at the customer. 
  • Successful track of proposing and implementing process and organizational improvements with measurable results.
  • Customer-first mindset – Experience in proactively engaging with customers to bring improvements in delivery resulting in increased CSAT and customer reference-ability.
  • Availability to join global team meetings and to actively collaborate on global initiatives
  • Excellent internal and external stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills
  • Readiness to travel based on customer and internal meetings, as and when required.
  • Deep understanding of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services strategy and processes is a plus.
  • Understanding of the scope of SAP RISE is a plus.
  • Excellent communication both Verbal and Written in English

To provide our customers with the right level of service, we have Technical and customer facing roles within the unit along with technical delivery.
