What you’ll do
As a (Senior) AI engineer (f/m/d) for Sustainability Data Fabric you will ensure that our common data layer, the so-called Sustainability Data Fabric, is ready for realization of advanced AI cases in Sustainability Engineering.
This includes understanding our current AI cases (concrete and more visionary ones), designing the SDF to support the implementation of these cases and actually doing so in the long run.  
We are looking for a passionate (Senior) AI engineer (f/m/d) with a strong background in data science, model training and tuning and a solid overview on existing AI technologies, especially LLMs. 
In this role you will:

• Design and develop the AI related aspects of the Sustainability Data Fabric 
• Implement a high performant data model layer 
• Work on AI cases for our SAP Sustainability applications 
• The work will be hands-on and involve coding and data science tasks.  

What you bring

• Profound experience in software engineering and a track record of AI related projects. 
• Solid development and data science skills 
• Conceptual and structured working style with a strong sense for prioritization 
• Knowledge of semantic data models in different domains would be beneficial
• Fluent in spoken and written English, German would be a plus

 
Meet the team
The Sustainability Engineering unit consists of globally distributed development teams working on various applications. Based in Walldorf or Munich, you will work with teams in Brno, Markdorf, Sofia, Shanghai and Bangalore. The whole unit is very diverse in all dimensions, including the technical skills spanning from classical ABAP based applications to very young cloud-native products.
