Position
You will join a team within our Suite Hub & Services group in engineering comprising passionate, friendly, and skilled individuals. As part of Process Platform Group we bring the SAP Signavio Suite to life by enabling engineering teams to focus on their product domains, and to develop fully integrated applications fast. You (together with the team) contribute to this vision through building central, cross-product solutions, that:
- advance the suite experience for users,
- reduce the time to value and adaption for customers,
- enable the core application engineering teams to deliver at scale
 
 
SUMMARY

We are hiring for a Backend Engineer for SAP Signavio - Platform Group in Munich or Berlin.
In this role you will be part of a passionate cross-functional team that is developing library services for our product suite. 

What You'll Do

●     Contribute to the entire cycle of product development, from first ideas and brainstorming
        sessions to continuously delivering improvements based on customer data
●     Developing end-to-end product increments in collaboration with the team
●      Work existing applications as well as inception of a new microservice
●     Mentor less-experienced peers and be mentored by more-experienced peers

●     Collaborate and work on solving challenging technical and business problems

●     Provide platform microservices and reusable component to other development teams

●     Follow Agile principles and values
●     Rely on DevOps practices and tools
 
 What You'll Bring
●     Previous experience (2+ years) within agile software development teams
●     Passionate about clean code and experience with test-driven development
●     In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming in general and Java
●     Hands-on experience with Postgres or MySQL database is a plus
●     Demonstrated experience on safely and efficiently refactor larger pieces of code
●     Experience with DevOps technologies such as AWS, Docker, CircleCI and K8S is a plus
●     Experience with microservice architectures is a plus
●     Enjoy pair programming or are keen on trying it out
●     Experience working in cross-functional teams relying on agile methodologies
●     You are a strong team player
