Connecting strategy, cross-engineering, and architecture functions to make SAP's Intelligent Enterprise vision a reality, our Cross Product Engineering & Experience team crafts the cloud, mobile, UX, and AI experience our customers love. This is an opportunity to work with various SAP Application development teams and help them build data integration solution for accelerated building of AI capabilities 

If you are interested in cloud development and want to have impact, this is the job for you. We are looking for a Development Architect to join us. As such you will be working with multiple teams in the organization to help solve complex design and architecture issues in the areas of application integration, data integration and extraction platforms, scalability, and other projects that will arise.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

With Generative AI as a strategic focus topic for SAP, it is critical to enable AI developers to build differentiating AI products by providing governed and compliant access to productive data. Our team is in India, Germany and Singapore and exemplifies a start up like, innovative work environment.

As the Principal Software Developer & Architect, you will have a unique opportunity to be a part of  a strategic cross application data integration team that helps application teams build such data integrations in a secure, governed and compliant fashion.

Your tasks shall include

• Support cross application teams to build data pipelines in order to leverage productive customer data for building intelligent solutions.
• Identify architecture concepts or software parts and cross-team synergies as opportunities for reuse.
• Working with a cross-functional team, you will influence the product architecture and ensure alignment of architecture concepts and documentation.
• Support and advise cross teams by ensuring technical and architectural feasibility, readiness, and compliance.
• Provide architectural and design leadership for the building of next generation data integration platform.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Over 4+ years of experience in the role of technical leader.
• Experience in designing solutions for high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Deep understanding of REST principles and experience working with and implementing backend APIs.
• Experience working with large data sets, performance tuning, and scalability.
• Have in-depth understanding of coding languages and proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C++, Python, Java) in a cross-platform environment with multiple operating system targets and databases.
• Experience in designing cloud-based applications/ data platforms with high performance, scalability, usability, and security.
• Fluency both written and spoken in English

TECH YOU BRING

• Exposure to application Integration using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Experience with cloud-based development using Cloud Foundry, Docker, AWS, Azure or other container/PaaS environments
• Extensive experience in REST API implementation
• Exposure to Big Data Technologies
• Exposure to AI development concepts
