EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for an experienced Product manager (f/m/d) for a 1 year maternity cover, who can drive a holistic product vision for various innovation topics. Since you will be working closely with our product managers, developers, architects, customers, and domain experts, you must be a strong team player. As we are a startup-like environment, a wide variety of tasks are a given. Overall duties include, but are not limited to:
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and align on the product requirements.
- Provide Business Transformation domain expertise and lead established co-innovation and collaboration programs with customers, partners, and internal SAP stakeholders.
- Ensure product value is achieved via the conversion of customer requirements, inputs and feedback into a well-balanced and differentiated service, that will make delight users.
- Work closely as a primarily liaison between engineering, marketing and customer success teams as well as key stakeholders to drive product progress at each iteration

- Analyze business data for data-driven storytelling and product validation.

- Lead cross-team and customer workshops.

- Take an active part in defining the team’s culture, work methodologies and processes, development activities, and strategic projects.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Completed Business or Tech focused Master’s program with proven strong analytical and conceptualization skills
  • Previous experience in driving strategic initiatives from conceptualization to execution, e.g., managing the entire product lifecycle.
  • Experience with customer engagements, e.g., client-facing product delivery for high value/impact projects.
  • Coordinating complex projects, e.g., roadmap and planning responsibilities including C-suite or leadership exposure.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of market research, business analytics and data-driven storytelling.
  • Knowledge of business processes.
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and executive-level presentation skills in English.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with organizational development and change management.
  • Proven background with agile methods (Scrum, etc.) or user experience (UX) methodologies like Design thinking.
  • Additional work experience or competency in innovation management and entrepreneurship is a plus like an MBA degree focused on Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Innovation, etc. – top-tier academic results is a plus.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a start-up, big tech company, or top-tier consulting firm field is a plus.
  • Experience with regulated industries like banking or experience with regulation like GDPR is a plus, i.e., experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Knowledge of various business models and the ability to design and implement innovative business models to create new revenue streams or improve existing ones.
  • Networking and relationship building: Strong networking skills and the ability to build relationships with industry experts, potential partners, and other stakeholders.
