Summary & Role Information
Our connectivity capabilities provide services to enable boundaryless data flow within SAP Signavio Suite, SAP in general and external services. For instance, the connectivity services cover use cases such as
-
Content distribution services for delivering content to SAP Signavio tenants,
-
Integration with SAP internal content production tools,
-
Integration between SAP Signavio and SAP application lifecycle management tools (SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Solution Manager), or
-
Data exchange with SAP and non-SAP applications interacting with SAP Signavio Suite.

What you’ll do

Apply and adhere to good software engineering practices (e.g. DRY principles, automated tests, pair programming, code reviews) and especially to SAP Signavio’s internal engineering and development guidelines

Gain a good understanding of each user story and the expected outcome, asking for further detail from the Product Owner as required
-
Active involvement in planning sessions to breakdown the user story into sub-tasks
-
Active involvement in backlog refinement when needed
-
Attend daily stand ups and provide meaningful and relevant updates on development and any impediments that are impacting progress

Attend sprint review sessions to demo new/updated features that have been developed and provide detail on any issues that impacted completion
-
Attend sprint retrospectives and raise learnings with the team and any actions that need to be taken within the next sprint

Work collaboratively with the Product Owner and Team Architect to reach agreement on the technical commitments

Collaborate and work on solving challenging technical and business problems
-
Solve challenging and interesting software development tasks with an emphasis on performance and scalability of distributed systems in the cloud.

Take ownership from the design of the feature through the first lines of code to how it performs in production ("You build it, you run it")
What you’ll bring:
-
Experience in software development and good knowledge of Java, JavaScript, NodeJS or other modern programming languages
-
Proven track record of successful contribution to projects on the cloud with a good understanding of modern cloud application development and distributed systems

Experience with object-oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms
-
Adept in handling agile development methodologies and lean principle/ techniques
-
Understanding of software development and maintenance processes
-
Constructive and open style of communication, excellent verbal and written communication
-
Understanding of SAP cloud development & delivery process
-
Independent working style in a distributed environment
-
Fluent English language skills are mandatory
Nice to have
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Computer Science, Natural Science, Business Engineering, or a related discipline
