Please note that this position is hybrid (2 days per week working from the office in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila). The working hours are aligned with CET (2-11pm PH time).

At SellerX we are growing our Tech team business and we are looking for a Team Lead Data Engineer to build with us the base for a real data-driven company. You will be an integral part of the Data team and architect pipelines and data models that will enrich our Data Platform and provide value to all departments of the company. Sounds exciting? Your Responsibilities in Detail
- Continuously collaborate with the Data team and business stakeholders to collect data needs - and translate them into functioning pipelines and data models
- Set standards and best practices regarding data quality, data governance and data modelling
- Build, maintain and improve data pipelines / data models which serve all departments of the business and feed critical reporting and data science processes
Your Background
To join our team, you bring along
- 4+ years of full-time working experience in the fields of Data Engineering, Analytics / BI Engineering or similar
- 1+ years managing a team
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and ability to write production grade SQL code, which is easy to understand, simple to troubleshoot, and highly performant
- Experience creating data pipelines in Python Experience with data modelling frameworks for analytical purposes
- Experience with dbt
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong focus on Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar
- Strong English communication & collaboration skills
- Attentiveness to detail
- Nice to have:
- Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery…)
- Experience with job orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI)
- Experience with other programming languages (e.g. Scala, Java)
