We are looking for a Master Data Analyst who will support Product Life Cycle Management and drive the integrity, efficiency, and quality of product master data in SAP and other integrated systems. This position is based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
Reporting to the US Head of Quality and EHS, you will support Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain Operations to ensure master data accuracy and completeness.
Position Overview:
- Set up, support, and maintain product master data through the entire product life cycle.
- Measure, improve, and certify the quality and integrity of material data through the entire product life cycle. Ensure that the data supports the needs of the business.
- Work within the local and global data management team to define and uphold data governance policies and procedures to ensure standardized data processes and consistent data definitions.
- Analyzing, evaluating, prioritizing, and solving master data deficiencies that have operational impacts; able to articulate the impact to process owners and drive changes to reduce future deficiencies.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvement initiatives related to data governance.
- Participate in data definition, data modifications, and process testing in support of business and IT.
- Create ad hoc data extracts and reports as needed to support projects, data analysis, and problem-solving activities.
- Support Product Managers for creation of new products and execution of changes in SAP and STEP MDM. Monitor changes and ensure they have been properly implemented.
- Work with Engineering to improve our change order process and eliminate deficiencies.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP Material Master Data Management or equivalent.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze, filter, and organize data to present different scenarios and recommendations.
- Experience assisting in the development of enhancements and automation of SAP tools for multiple functions.
- Experience streamlining business process and achieving greater efficiency with automation.
- Advanced proficiency using computers, to include Microsoft Office 365 tools [Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word].
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Hybrid work environment but minimum 60% on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Winshuttle or other scripting tools.
- Experience using STEP MDM.
- Proficiency in business intelligence software such as Power BI, Snowflake, Tableau, etc.
- Master of Science in Data or Business Analytics

- The pay range for this position is <$73,500 - $126,000>. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
