Join our renowned engineering team at Siemens Mobility, where we develop state-of-the-art rail vehicles that are shaping the future of freight and passenger transportation.
- You work with a dynamic team of engineers (f/m/d) on high-speed locomotive projects in Europe, Asia and North America, supporting vehicles that travel at up to 230 km/h and carry loads of several thousand tons.
- You work closely with colleagues (f/m/d) from the software and hardware departments to ensure seamless integration of the braking systems.
- You collaborate internationally with engineering teams spread across various Siemens Mobility locations, including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, the USA and India.
- In addition, you independently collect requirements and create specifications and system solutions for the braking system.
- You clarify and implement the interfaces between the brake system, brake supplier and vehicle mechanics as well as the software.
- You plan functional tests and carry them out both in the laboratory and on site at our plant, on the test benches or during test drives on the rail networks.
- You contribute to the technical development of brake systems, considering market trends and a platform strategy.
What do you bring along?
- You hold a degree (Master's/Diploma) in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field.
- In addition, you have several years of professional experience in the development and approval of braking systems, which you have acquired through your work in the development, commissioning, or maintenance of rail vehicles.
- Ideally, you will have gained this experience in the role of a System Engineer (f/m/d).
- You are very familiar with the European requirements and standards for braking systems.
- Moreover, you have knowledge of requirements engineering, configuration and change request management.
- You enjoy working with complex systems and use a structured approach to work, problem solving and documentation.
- You communicate very well in English and can also communicate in German.
