We are looking for Lead Data Engineer (Python)
You’ll make a difference by:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reliable, and scalable data pipelines using Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Integrate data from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources into a unified data platform.
- Design, implement, and manage SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Write unit tests and perform code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, Python development, and cloud services
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
You’ll win us over by:
- 7+ years of experience in python with experience in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Strong experience with any of the relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL etc).
- Ability to write complex, optimized SQL queries.
- Experience with data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Kafka)
- Knowledge of data storage solutions such as relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and data warehousing tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in data engineering environments.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of high-quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, Agile, release often environment.
Good to have:
- Experience with popular Python frameworks such as Flask, Fast API or Django
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
