This role is combination of Team Leader and Scrum master, with roles split 50% - 50%

Team Leader is a people manager who is responsible for the success of their cross-functional agile software development teams with 10-20 employees in total. This role is responsible for making sure that there are the right people on the teams, with the right mindset and skillset to build world-class medical products and provide highest possible business value to Siemens Healthineers. Ideally you have been a software developer yourself in the past and understand well what needs to be done to develop innovative, high-quality software products while keeping Total Cost of Ownership under control. While you will not be expected to be involved hands-on into the daily operations of your teams, you need to understand the key aspects of software product development, enable your teams to overcome any obstacles that may arise and help them to become self-organized and resilient.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively lead and support our team in delivering high-quality products.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

- Ensure your teams have the right competence mix and mindset required to build world-class medical software products. This includes hiring and maintaining high employee satisfaction

- Ensure that adequate software development processes are in place, supported by relevant engineering practices such as DevOps to build medical software in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. ISO 13485, MDR, etc.)

- Continuously foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement utilizing Agile and LEAN methodologies to establish a collaborative and inclusive environment that enables teams to build best in class products in the most efficient manner. Motivate team to experiment and try new approaches in software development

- Work with individual employees on their development plans and support them in excelling in their professional performance and growth

- Continuously manage relationships with business partners to ensure their business needs are understood and subsequently make sure those business needs are met

- Contribute as part of the extended management teams to the definition of the organizational strategy in line with company’s vision and drive implementation in the assigned areas

- Drive and contribute to various activities with the goal to increase employee satisfaction by improving our organization for the good of all employees

- Contribute to maintaining and expanding of our talent pipeline

- Coaching and Mentoring: Guide the development team in self-organization and cross-functionality, helping them to create high-value products and removing impediments to their progress

- Facilitation: Facilitate Scrum events as requested or needed, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices and principles

- Communication: Maintain strong communication with team members, stakeholders, and other Scrum Masters, fostering a feedback culture and promoting psychological safety

- Leadership: Lead by example, guiding the team through the Scrum process and helping them to understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development.

- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may hinder the team's progress, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Agile Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies.

- Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting a healthy conflict culture and ensuring constructive resolution of disagreements.

- Adaptability: Adapt to changing circumstances and requirements, helping the team navigate through uncertainties and changes in the project.

Requirements:

  • You already have experience in people management or are a software development professional in a senior role who is looking for a change in their carrier path
  • You have graduated in computer science or a related technical field and have hands-on experience in developing software. You understand software architecture design principles and know how to measure software quality and performance
  • You have clear understanding of processes within Product Lifecycle Management and have hands-on experience with LEAN and Agile software development
  • You have extensive experience in applying DevOps, LEAN and Agile practices in product development and have created a clear understanding of how to ensure low Total Cost of Ownership of complex software products while maintaining short Time to Market of product features
  • Continuous Learning and Continues Improvement is part of your daily life with respect to yourself and for your environment
  • You have worked in international project teams in globally distributed environment and are comfortable with working with people of different cultural backgrounds
  • You have proven experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
  • You can demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • You have excellent facilitation and communication abilities.
  • You have demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
  • You can show us in-depth knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
  • You have effective conflict resolution skills.
  • You can adapt to changing circumstances and requirements.
  • You have solid communication skills and are fluent in English. Proficiency in German is a plus

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 3300 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
