We are looking for Product Safety and Technical Regulation & Standardization (TR&S) Manager
About the role
We are looking for self-driven TRS Manager for our Siemens Energy business, we need smart professional who brings skills, highest standards of product, services and process quality and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to bring value in project execution. This position is based out of Siemens Energy HQ at Gurugram.
Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
- Define and implement TR&S and Product Safety strategy for SE business based on the overall strategy of the organization.
- Define and apply TR&S and the Product Safety System that cover the safety and liability risks of the organization’s products and services.
- Plan and propose TR&S and Product Safety budget, allocate related resources, and align it with the organizational unit's budget.
- Stay updated on current developments concerning regulatory and normative requirement issued from GOI and have experience to represent business in different technical committee(s).
- Contribute to the analysis of technical regulations and standards and provide expertise and guidance to businesses on timely basis
- Lead the Product Safety community within the SE business and act as Product Safety consultant and support the Quality Head in consulting and collaboration activities.
- Identify and develop TR&S and Product Safety requirements to meet customer needs and establish processes to fulfill these requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal, normative, and business-specific requirements.
- Decide, mandate, and authorize TR&S and Product Safety information and action towards customers and authorities.
- Ensure the implementation of TR&S and Product Safety incident-based reporting.
- Highlight and escalate Product Safety Deficiencies, current incidents and any system-related shortcomings; suggest adequate measures and ensure they are reported to the relevant departments.
- Ensure TR&S and product safety compliance through regular audits, self-assessments and management reviews.
- Maintain and improve the effectiveness of requirements management and product monitoring processes.
- Facilitate and monitor the implementation of Product Safety risk assessments in processes.
- Ensure mandatory procedures for notifying authorities are known and applied in case of incidents.
- Collect, analyze, and assess feedback from product monitoring and implement appropriate measures within the unit, or convey relevant information to the responsible functions (e.g., product development, engineering, product manager etc.).
- Leads internal TR&S and Product Safety networks and communities.
- Contribute to external TR&S networks and communities.
- Lead the advancement and development of the TR&S and Product Safety function.
- Inform the Quality Head of the current state of activities in internal and external committees.
- Implement a competence management and training system for required competences in TR&S and Product Safety, integrating it into operations.
- Define and implement measures to strengthen TR&S and Product Safety culture and awareness.

- Bachelor’s degree/ diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical / Metallurgy engineering or related technical field having 8-12 years of experience.
- Power sector domain know- how will be added advantage
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance or direction.
- Ability to interface directly with different Siemens Energy businesses.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis
- Ability to manage multiple manufacturing issues / projects and deadlines.
- Required to travel frequently for inspection at supplier works.
