Software development engineer for Simcenter Testlab

Simcenter Testlab is a suite of engineering software applications how gives answer to these typical technical questions:
How does a structural engineer troubleshoot noise and vibration issues on a car?
How can an airplane manufacturer perform the mandatory “ground vibration tests” on a new prototype prior to its maiden flight?
How can the company that built a communications satellite be certain it will survive the launch into space?
==> They use the engineering knowledge built into the Simcenter Testlab applications implemented in our team!
Actually we're looking for a Software development engineer to join our Simcenter Testlab development team in Leuven, Belgium.
Simcenter Testlab is a suite of engineering software applications used by companies around the globe to create, validate and troubleshoot their own products through data measurements and analysis.
The main focus of our team is to create applications used by structural engineers in the aerospace and automotive industries.
Software development tasks are not limited to a detail aspect but encompass the complete cycle which includes:
- Analysis and design starting from requirements
- Actual coding
- Code reviews
- Testing
- Bug fixing.
You will work closely together with other people within and outside of the team.
For this we use a hybrid approach with an excellent balance work-from-home/office.
Our in-house developed frameworks, tooling and agile approach have indeed proven to be compatible with remote working whereas regular everybody-in-the-office moments allow to keep the team spirit alive.
We expect from you:
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
Our code base is mainly in C++ and C#. - Analytical mindset and an eye for quality and precision.
- Familiarity and affinity with the application domain (measurements for noise & vibration, digital signal processing, closed loop control, …) and the related technologies (real-time systems, multi-threading, networks, ..) are a plus.
