Currently we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Universal Messaging team in Sofia. Universal Messaging (http://www.universalmessaging.org/ ) is a single solution for high-performance, low-latency messaging across a wide array of delivery channels, including all mainstream enterprise, web and mobile platforms. For the enterprise, Software AG Universal Messaging delivers high throughput messaging for resilient, secure and highly scalable applications. Universal Messaging is in the core of Software AG’s business integration platform and has hundreds of customers using the product in wide variety of scenarios and load both on-premise and in the cloud. Universal Messaging is also in the backbone of Software AG’s iPaaS offering.

Essential Functions

• As an engineer you will be part of the core team which is working on Universal Messaging and will be responsible for:

• Feature design, development and testing for new Universal Messaging product releases;

• Maintenance of existing Universal Messaging product releases;

• Software development, testing and maintenance on multiple platforms including Windows, Linux and OS X;

• Engaging in the continuous integration, delivery and sustaining processes in the company;

• Participation in internal team education and knowledge sharing sessions;

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor degree in IT and at least 3 years of working experience

• Development skills and experience in Java, knowledge in Golang is considered a plus

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, some of AWS/Azure services, is a must

• Have experience in developing cloud native applications and good understanding of how they're operated in the cloud.

• Experience with Git source code management system, Github and Github actions are considered a strong advantage

• Understanding of network programming and protocols is an advantage;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
