Position Purpose

• Be part of our international DevOps team for Software AG’s ARIS Cloud products and Services

• Working closely with other departments like Development, Global Support and Product Management

• Communication with the Software AG Cloud customers

• Support the Security and Compliance requirements of the Software AG Cloud Platforms

• Apply findings to improve the Cloud deployments and management of systems

• Working with cloud service providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure and their technologies

• High Availability, Stability and Security of the Cloud services

• Onboarding of new Cloud customers and environments

• Technical conception, implementation and continuous further optimization of the CI / CD pipeline

• Handling of incidents 24/7 (on-call duty)

• Working based on the principles of Lean and Agile processes

Technologies and Frameworks:

• Master’s in computer science or engineering or comparable degree

• Cloud vendors experience - Amazon AWS and/or Microsoft Azure

• Understanding of Network administration (VPN, firewalls)

• Experience in Cloud Operations and DevOps

• 5+ years of programming experience with OO/script languages

• Linux administration skills and bash – preferred CentOS

• Expertise in Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

• Knowledge of Configuration & Infrastructure management tools such as Terraform

• Knowledge of Monitoring and Alerting tools such as Prometheus

• Knowledge of Git, GitOps and experience with Bitbucket or similar

• Experience with basic Cloud concepts such as Multi-tenancy, Clustering, Micro-service architecture and technologies such as ElasticSearch and Spark

• Confident understanding of Network architectures and Software Development methods

• Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills

• Proactive approach to identifying problems, potential for improvement and performance bottlenecks

• Commitment, team spirit and excellent communication skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Software Engineering experience with Continuous Delivery (CD)

• Database Management experience – Postgres DBMS

• ARIS Installation, administration and configuration knowledge
