Software Engineer

New features and bug fixes of Adabas Natural products should be released smoothly and easily as soon as they have been implemented and tested, so that customers can get the new features and fixes as early as possible. This needs a stable and efficient build infrastructure for automated continuous delivery.

This Build Infrastructure Team is responsible to implement infrastructure such as sandboxes, repositories and tools for every Adabas Natural product team to perform their daily automated build and promotion. This team will work with other product release stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely release of quality A&N products.

To be successful in the role, one should have the following:

• Bachelor or Master degree in IT or related fields (e.g. Engineering).

In addition:

• Good knowledge in operating systems Windows, Linux and docker or podman commands.

• Good knowledge in programming (Java, GoLang or .Net)

• Advanced knowledge in maintaining sandboxes for software development and testing.

• Experience in Source code versioning tool such as GitHub.

• Experience in automation tool such as Jenkins.

• Good communication skills to work with different stakeholders in product release such as program management, technical compliance and different product development teams.

• Advantage to have web programming and framework knowledge (Typescript, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Javascript)

• Occasionally, some Java and scripting languages like shell scripts, Perl or similar, would be helpful to maintain automation job system like Jenkins and developing User-interfaces for copying or deleting product builds in sandboxes and reporting.
