Senior/Software Engineer R&D Natural Open Systems

Natural is a programming language which allows companies to develop their applications quickly and efficiently. With Natural, our customers access their critical data securely and with high performance - for example in our Adabas database system. This makes Natural a central component in companies' mission-critical IT systems.

Natural can also run on cloud environments like Azure with High Availability capabilities.

We are looking for a Software Engineer for our product Natural who supports the full software development life cycle including analysis, design, development, test, maintenance and documentation on Linux and Windows environment.

Skills

Required:

• Advanced knowledge in programming languages like C, C++

• Experience in system programming such as firmware and Linux kernel.

• Experience in scripting languages like shell scripts, Perl, Python or similar

• Knowledge about job control systems like Jenkins

• Experience in Visual Studio and GDB based development environments

• Experience in developing enterprise standard software with high quality/performance

• Operating systems knowhow: Windows, Linux, Unix

• Good communication skill

• Comprehensive skills in verbal and written communication in English to be member of an international development team

• Open minded team player

Advantageous:

• Basic product knowhow about Adabas and Natural

• Experienced in Natural programming language

Preferred (but not essential in all topics):

• Knowledge about source management systems e.g. git

• Web technologies, Web services, XML, JSON Technologies

• Experience to lean and agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, …)

• Exposure to different operating systems and tools

• Debugging and Diagnosing skills

• SILK GUI Testing knowledge.
