We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and help develop and maintain the Adabas database. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in C
programming, though experience with C++ or Java is also welcome, along with expertise in backend systems.


Essential Functions:
• Collaborate closely with teams in Germany and the USA.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain product features using C/C++, Java, and scripting.
• Contribute to feature, design, and architecture discussions.
• Conduct code reviews, test reviews, and documentation reviews.
• Perform testing and test automation.
• Manage build, installation, and promotion processes.
• Provide product support to internal teams, including Sales, Global Consulting Services, and Global Support.
• Assist Global Support with customer defect resolutions and escalations.
• Develop and deliver training materials as needed.
• Maintain documentation according to project requirements.


Minimum Requirements:

• 3+yrs of proficiency in C/C++ and Java, along with scripting knowledge
• Experience in full-cycle software development (design, coding, testing, and maintenance).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
• Experience with testing, test automation, and debugging.
• Familiarity with build management and deployment processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
