This is a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the front office, sales and marketing technology vision across the organization. This role oversees the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of front office, go-to-market sales and marketing platforms, sales tools, and other services, with a strong focus on Salesforce, related add-on salesforce products, and Marketo.
This role leads the Go to Market Systems Unit within IT. The leader is both the leader and a principal expert in the field with significant experience. The leader will also be the lead vendor manager for Salesforce and all related Go To Market systems vendors. The leader will also commission work beyond the supply capability of the product team from established service providers, providing a burst facility when demand exceeds supply.
This is a key IT leadership role for this business unit and is part of the IT Leadership Team, working globally from the KL operating centre in Malaysia.
Main tasks & responsibilities
Product Team Leader and Principal Expert in IT Go to Market (Sales & Marketing Systems) and Automation of Sales/ Marketing processes using technology & AI to ensure sales effectiveness.
- Lead the Go To Market Team and work with the business sales teams, sales operations and the marketeers to provide an integrated go to market systems service addressing change, new functions and support of existing environments.
- Principal Expert in delivery of Salesforce services for the organisation. Ensuring that all go to market systems are correctly configured and providing the required services to the organisation to optimise sales, marketing and account management.
- Deliver the Salesforce/ Marketo/ other Application Support Services for the business (all product teams continuously develop and support applications in their portfolio)
- Leading Salesforce and other go to market systems projects as they arise. Work with the service provider burst facility within the category II (external support) budget to optimise use of the product team v third parties on a case by case basis.
- Leading business applications support with internal staff and third party service providers, as required, to optimise the long term cost position for the organisation.
- Leading Salesforce/ Marketo/ other requests to third party suppliers as volume of demand exceeds supply.
- Managing Salesforce and Marketo for IT as IT vendor manager.
- Managing burst facility suppliers as vendor manager.
- Category Manager for CRM/ Marketing/ Sales Automation category and understanding current Salesforce licensing policy and pricing, and the cost range of Salesforce related services from vendors .

- Salesforce application architwecture
- Salesforce deployment, modification and upgrades.
- Salesforce related and add-on/ partner products design and configuration/ change/ updates/ support/ problem management.
- Microsoft Power Products (Power BI/ Power Automate/ Power Apps/ Azure AI/ etc) design and configuration/ change/ updates/ support/ problem management as add on components to the sales automation architecture.
Experience required
We expect the successful candidate will have:
- IT Leadership, leading direct reports and working with peers/ colleagues across the IT organisation to achieve strategic business and technology goals.
- Salesforce products gained in a modern operating environment, and Salesforce professional certifications (Trailhead Certifications and others) relevant to the products used.
- Salesforce as a vendor, and experience negotiating with Salesforce and partners and an understanding of their motivation, processes and licensing parameters. Experience of negotiating with Adobe and their partners, motivation, processes and licensing parameters
- Salesforce products at a ‘Principal Expert’ level.
- Application architecture design and practical application in a Salesforce centric sales environment.
Education required
There is no absolute metric placed on educational requirements. We expect the successful candidate will have completed Salesforce and other professional certifications (Trailhead etc) in the products being used, and can demonstrate the professional application of this education and experience in a practical sense.
