ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a highly motivated and positive candidate to do quality assurance on our Adabas related suite of Linux/Window products. Be a part of a Team of experienced testers and developers, who work on implementing new features and enhancements to these Windows/Linux Products.

Applicant must be someone who takes pride in constantly improving, is passionate about delivering quality software, has strong communication skills and oriented to being part of a dynamic team, takes ownership and responsibility for their software quality deliverables and is able to learn our processes and procedures quickly, to function independently.

Software AG has more than five decades of software expertise and a global reach in 70 countries. We are looking to extend our team to provide continued support and new development into 2050 and beyond. The candidate must have proven Windows/Linux know-how experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality testing of new code, functional enhancements and defect fixes

• Project lead for quality testing of specific product areas

• Good analytic and organizational skills for defining and reproducing defects for various products

• A strong team player and able to work in a collaborative environments

• Fulfill test plan requirements and actively collaborate with developers, QA, and documentation for new products or enhancements of existing products

• Define comprehensive test plans at project initialization

• Contribution of creative and innovative ideas for products and test automation systems

ABOUT YOU

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years proven knowledge of Windows and Linux systems

• Minimum of 5 years senior position in quality assurance test experience

• Knowledge of Windows batch and Linux shell scripting and java basics

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent knowledge through many years of experience

• Strong time-management skills, and the ability to manage complexities and competing priorities

• Strong communication skills and experience coordinating information and activities among groups with differing agendas

• Ability to work in a diverse and geographically distributed team

• Knowledge of relational database principles and/ or knowledge of Software AG related products (Adabas, Review, Net-work, Replication) would be a plus

• Knowledge of IBM z/OS mainframe and IBM JCL would be a plus
