Embedded Software Developer

The Embedded Software Developer is responsible for developing and analyzing microcontroller software solutions for hearing aid applications. Provides training and technical support for both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

Works with other teams in R&D to provide microcontroller development support for hearing aid related applications.

Designs and implements microcontroller-based software

Creates Design documents as required to ensure that requirements are implemented to meet customer’s expectations.

Performs Verification/Validation of software and systems.

Troubleshoots software/system issues as required.

Works closely with the Software Quality Assurance and Electroacoustic teams to provide input into Test Cases.

Maintains coding standards and best practices for software development. Participates in the code review process to ensure that quality is built into the software.

Follows the established standards developed for source code archiving to ensure that the software build/release process is tightly controlled using source control tools.

More about you:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a relevant field.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Previous Embedded Software Development experience is a strong asset

A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova

This role's pay range is between: $77,600 - $95,000. This role is also commission eligible/bonus eligible.
