We operate as ‘One D&A’, made up of Global engagement and expertise teams, based in our key hubs including India, the UK, and US, and local UniOps in Market D&A teams, based in our key markets. Set the Unilever data strategy and lay the foundations to maximise the value of our data.

Deliver the connected Data Platform to accelerate access to integrated and trusted data at scale across the company for analytics and resolutions.

Embed core data and analytics capabilities, guiding to automation, AI, and Big Data to boost Unilever’s resolution intelligence.

Guide the Data and Analytics Culture to build a future-fit workforce those values and adopts data-intelligent solution-making across all levels.

ROLE PROFILE

If you are excited about data and insights and passionate about consumer product offerings with an innovative mindset for improvement, then we think this role is for you. You need to be a highly skilled market analyst who has a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. We’re looking for a leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the creation of products that improve customer experience and grow market share.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ownership of the overall product vision, strategy and direction (near term and long term)

  • Operate the data and analytics innovation agenda for the Partners4Growth (P4G) programme

  • Setup Adoption and Benefit Goals for P4G Program and provide split and target at Product level

  • Evangelize P4G and specific products constantly to markets

  • Ownership of the overall product roadmap, including strategic choices about “where to play” and how to maximise

  • Build and manage relationship with senior stakeholders within D&A and Business

  • Create necessary materials for senior stakeholder engagement

  • In charge of effectively directing, and managing the team as well as establishing and maintaining team ways of working

  • Support the Product Manager manage and expand product team

  • Working with data and engineering resources (Solution Factory) stakeholders to support product development

  • Directing change management, product adoption and benefits tracking activities

  • Programme RAID management and appropriate escalation where necessary

  • Vendor management and engagement

  • Assist in creating the annual budget

  • Secure funding for key projects/programs agreed as a part of the above strategy

  • Manage end to end budget to meet financial targets

  • Reports progress up to / manages direct engagement with senior stakeholder management (VP level)

  • Compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual reports

  • Develops a network of connections across the CPG industry to ensure constant knowledge of best practice and a focus on ruthless advantage vs opposition

Essential Experience

  • Overall 12+ years of relevant work experience, with minimum 5+ years in data and analytics

  • Proven success of delivering overall product vision, strategy and direction (near term and long term), including ownership of the overall product roadmap, incorporating strategic choices about “where to play” and how to maximise

  • Demonstrable experience of strong stakeholder management skills

  • Proven competency in managing and developing teams across reporting lines

  • Experience in building business cases and owning delivery of the projects/programs as well as the benefit realisation tracking

  • Working knowledge of:

  • Finance P&L

  • End to end Solution Development Life Cycle

  • Design Thinking, DevOps models and Agile Scrum

  • Demonstrable knowledge of visualization tools like PBI, Webapp or other data blending tools

Desirable Experience

  • Previous CPG / retailer facing experience, ideally with exposure to Category Management

  • Exposure and good learning in Data Science

  • Have managed at least a 3M+ budget and a 10+ team of FTE and vendors

  • At least 8 years of experience in guiding cross functional teams

  • Ability to communicate complex analytic and data science solutions in a precise, and actionable manner to senior management
