Work to continuously reduce unplanned downtime and equipment failure.
Manage capital spending plans and programs, support the innovation process and utilize project management skills to assure all plant and Corporate projects operate under control- Employee and food safety, GMP, Contractor safety, spending, schedule compliance.
Comply with preventive maintenance requirements as defined by customers, the plant quality systems and the requirement to assure effective manufacturing capacity is available to meet production requirements.
Manage spending effectively, develop annual budgets in detail, seek improvement in efficiency and results.
Support and/or manage capital installation projects. Develop work standards involving safety and quality for both internal and external craft and technical personnel, assure compliance to standards. Take corrective action when necessary.
Member of plant safety committee and champion for compliance programs as assigned.
Key member of UMS (Unilever Manufacturing System) implementation team. Provide training to maintenance and production personnel as required.
Operate plant utility systems in compliance with Corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Plan, schedule and execute maintenance programs to protect company assets, comply with safety and quality requirements, resulting in the attainment of expected effective capacity and capability in support of cost and service objectives.
Positions Responsibilities
Technical- Develop technical resources to meet process and product technical support requirements. Specific expertise in plant systems is required to represent plant needs in project development and design work.
Project Management- Plan and execute projects involved with repair and capital installation. Use resources effectively achieve expected results with spending and time constraints.
Product, Process and Packaging Expertise- Knowledge of plant systems and equipment applied to maintenance activity and problem-solving efforts. Complete understanding of maintenance management function and the ability to apply technology and management systems effectively in maintaining plant assets and directing resources and personnel.
Lead and collaborate to execute the Digital agenda and Digital projects in Cu Chi factory.
Developing Others- Develop training programs for plant technical and operating personnel. Coach technical personnel effectively in developing an understanding of the role of maintenance in supporting plant operations effectively.
Cost Management- Manage maintenance spending, constantly seeking the least cost approach to assuring on-going process capability in meeting Division and Customer requirements. Develop budgets for department, work to reduce costs.
Comply with Company Policies for SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) and Quality.
Ability to manage multiple requests for service with limited resources. Manage limited resources in a manner that assures assets are protected, process capability and effective manufacturing capacity is available as planned and customer requirements can be achieved. Respond to safety concerns in a credible and effective manner. Demonstrate a customer service orientation to plant personnel, R&D, Engineering and others while managing spending within budget.
Lead the maintenance technical group to a continuous improvement approach where the group understands their role in improving skills, adaptation to new work systems (UMS) and technology, improving efficiency through work methods and developing greater discipline and precision in completing maintenance work. Develop ownership in the maintenance group for operating results and plant reliability measures.
Resolve conflict within the maintenance group and between various plant functions while addressing operating needs and solving problems. Communicate actions and plans in a professional credible manner and work to defuse stressful situations involving downtime and failure analysis. Support efforts at learning from and preventing reoccurrence of equipment problems and failures.
Directly manage capital projects and/or support Engineering capital project management. Provide resources to keep projects on track while meeting on-going maintenance requirements and operating commitments. Assure that plant technical standards are communicated and identify problems or discrepancies on a basis that allows for resolution and attainment of project spending and timing objectives.
KEY SKILLs
Develop effective asset care programs, develop asset improvement programs using internal and external resources, assure compliance with equipment and system design and specification standards.
Manage suppliers effectively assure that MRO spending is efficient.
Define or use defined performance requirements and KPI to set targets and plan actions for continuous improvement in plant reliability and operating results.
REQUIREMENT
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or other discipline.
10 years experience as a maintenance management in manufacturing plant.
