We are a passionate team of over 350 data experts, data scientists, information experts, technical specialists, and business analysts. We operate as ‘One D&A’, made up of Global engagement and expertise teams, based in our key hubs including India, the UK, and US, and local UniOps in Market D&A teams, based in our key markets. Together, we combine the best of global for scale and efficiency, and local for intimacy and impact.

Set the Unilever data strategy and lay the foundations to maximise the value of our data.

Deliver the connected Data Platform to accelerate access to integrated and trusted data at scale across the company for analytics and decisions.

Embed core data and analytics capabilities, leading to automation, AI, and Big Data to boost Unilever’s decision intelligence.

Lead the Data and Analytics Culture to build a future-fit workforce that values and adopts data-intelligent decision-making across all levels.

Who You Are and What You'll Do

If you are excited about data and insights and passionate about consumer product offerings with an innovative mindset for improvement, then we think this role is for you. We’re searching for an experienced data analyst to join the Partnering for Growth (P4G) team. You need to be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, ingestion, generation, and visualization. Additionally, you are be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth of the P4G products.

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business analytics needs, critical metrics / KPIs, helps to deliver actionable insights for decision-makers

  • Proactive analysis of data points that drives business performance, data mining and data improvements areas helps business efficiency & productivity

  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources

  • Define and articulate data acquisition / transformation / integration appropriate methodology to empower scalability and performing solution

  • Identify and recommend automation avenue as part of data ingestion, transformation, reconciliation, and consumption

  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources

  • Design and empower data scripts to enable assessment / evaluation process for more flexible and scalable solution across datasets

  • Cross-team co-ordination of any Data Demand and Supply across internal / external team

  • Perform initial Data Assessment for new upcoming cell’s / discovery roadmap.

  • Data requirement extraction, analysis, and alignment part of Discovery & Design Phase incl. Localization / Customization

  • Perform Gap analysis, manage and align mitigation for any Data Gap to support Change Requests / enhancement evaluation, design & delivery.

  • Data Subject Matter Expert advice towards most viable solution Functional / Conceptual Design

  • Provide support and guidance towards Product Roadmap as required.

  • Support Product Innovation specifically around Source Data ingestion and Transformation Logic

  • Co-ordinate with Data CoE / DaaP team towards any Source data issues and source Data Requirements

  • Review and guide Solution Factory / Technical team towards E2E Data Flow design and best practice

  • Support and align Data Transformation / Business Logic required data.

  • Review and provide required data validation / User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support towards deployment / Go-Live

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science / IT, economics, or statistics with 6+ years of relevant work experience, with minimum 4+ years of experience mining data as a data analyst / Data SME

  • Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques

  • Strong experience with Data Engineering frameworks and Conceptual Designing of E2E data Flow / ETL

  • Experience in handing / understanding Transaction System / EPOS Source data with preferably SAP has source data for Sell-In

  • Strong experience with FMCG Sell-In and Sell-Out data towards Sales Performance.

  • Proven track record of handing multi-countries complex Roll-Out and customization

  • Multi-System GAP analysis and mitigation option to influence scalable / sustainable design.

  • Empower Automation / Auto Reconciliation for Robust solution of dynamic and multi-source data feeds

  • Mentor team towards FMCG data source and ETL Conceptual and Functional Design

  • Knows what all the numbers and patterns mean and can communicate the findings in layman's terms

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders on what data and insights solutions will best fit / meet their needs

  • Practical experience in statistical analysis using statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS

  • Previous CPG / retailer facing experience, ideally with exposure to Category Management /

  • Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to communicate complex analytic and data science solutions in a precise, and actionable manner to senior management

  • Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.

  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations.

  • Strong SQL or Excel skills, with aptitude for learning other analytics tools

  • Working knowledge of: Finance P&L and Profitability Analysis

  • Clear understanding and experience in FMCG Sell-In and Sell-Out process.

  • Design Thinking, DevOps models and Agile Scrum

  • Strong understanding of various Master Data with relevant Multi-Hierarchy / attributes
