ABOUT UNILEVER FOOD SOLUTIONS

Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) is the €2.5bn+ Foodservice division of Unilever. It leads the dynamic food service market across its categories and has ambitious growth objectives, marketing a range of professional food and beverage products and services to operators across 22 Multi Country Organizations (MCOs) in 72 countries.

UFS is accelerating its digital transformation to fuel growth through data driven and technology enabled go-to-market capabilities. Our ambition is to reach to 2.5 million operators by 2022 via an online and offline contact strategy. The focus of UFS marketing and sales is to engage with chefs and customers through an integrated communication system via visits by sales representatives and digital touchpoints like the UFS.com website / webshop, segmented and personalized campaigns and UFS apps. The new roles of marketing and customer development teams are more integrated in the digital ecosystem and are vital for a great operator and customer experience.

JOB PURPOSE

The Data Analyst leads the full lifecycle analysis, focusing on requirements, activities and design. Internally, they develop the organisation's analysis and reporting capabilities. (S)He will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. In short, you will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Furthermore, you will retrieve, process and analyse large amounts of data, as well as design systems and databases to help you perform these actions.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

  • Work with management and agile squads to prioritize business and information needs.

  • Will use clean and structured data to perform reporting and direct analysis to generate and

visualize actionable and valuable business insights.

  • Will support with monitoring performance to identify improvements.

SKILLS YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Team Player that can work cross-functional (both with marketing and sales-oriented roles).

  • Fluent English & Dutch communication skills.

  • Curious about the latest developments in data and a clear understanding of how organizations can leverage these opportunities.

  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL database design.

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • BSc in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics

  • 4+ years of working experience

  • Proven track as a Data Analyst, a Business Analyst or a similar role

  • Experience in Data science tools (e.g. 'R')

  • Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (PowerBI or Tableau)

DESIRABLE

  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Marketo and Salesforce Sales Cloud or any other relevant digital marketing tools.

  • Communicates fluently in French

  • Knowledge of Python, C++, Java
