POSITION PURPOSE:

​​​The purpose of this job is to lead the project management/ contractor management of a new chemical manufacturing plant. Responsible for the project management interfaces between turnkey contractor and Unilever team, following up on time and cost execution as planned, reporting, technical discussions, communications and stakeholders’ management and overall project integration. Reports to the Engineering Director. ​ ​

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

• Provide strategic technical leadership for the turnkey contractor management of a new chemical manufacturing plant.

• Review and guarantee Unilever technical specifications are being followed by turnkey contractor where applicable.

• Strategically influence peers and stakeholders to drive the business agenda through technical and business solutions.

• Lead the capital management and reporting process for the project, with aims to complete the project within budget.

• Support the planning and execution of the project scope, cost and timeline, integrating all 9 areas of expertise within project management practices.

• Be the technical/ engineering bridge between Unilever and turnkey contractor, working with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Contractor, and other functions, representing engineering project management.

• Be the first point of contact/ interaction with turnkey contractor for project management aspects and interfaces between projects to manage the overall success of project execution.

• Flawlessly executes the project management leading all aspects of the working programme working with several areas of the business in an integrated, high performance work team.

• Provide and stimulate creative solutions to engineering problems, with rapid transfer of best practices.

• Be a project management expert.

• Have strong technical expertise in utilities, infrastructure, sustainability and total systems approach in all work efforts.

• Work to have an accident-free project.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO ASPIRE FOR THIS ROLE?

• B.S. or B.E. degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent education with demonstrated working experience.

• 5+ years’ experience in related Engineering or Manufacturing environment. Chemical industry experience strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a people or project management role.

• Professional engineering skills.

• Project Management Leadership with strong expertise (EPM/ EEM).

• Speak English.

• Advanced use of IT tools.

• Applicable knowledge in Process Safety desirable.
