DevOps Expert _VOIS

Role purpose:

Providing Global IT integration, support and DevOps Lead with Kubernetes who can create, lead and
deliver a production-ready solution that can host application from multiple clients at private cloud
which is a set of software products designed for accelerating the delivery of secure, reliable modern
applications. It is a combination of a common platform, several key applications and a dashboard
targeted at managing the core lifecycle of applications for all branches of Vodafone Companies around
the world

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Summarize and deliver information to clients through documentation and presentations;Communicate status, issues, and risks to high-level executives
• Architect and implement codified cloud infrastructure, working with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines on Kubernetes
• Participate in all phases of the delivery life cycle, including design, development, test automation and release.
• Apply knowledge of organizational change management and design, development, and implementation processes to deliver measurable, sustainable solutions.
• Help clients define success and establish metrics to track business objectives; Define the “as is” and “future state” of business, operations, and technology issues
• Performing all possible technical troubleshooting steps to solve the incidents and service request

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• Build and maintain personal and professional client relationships, Work well with different personalities
• Experience of working on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.
• Develop and manage a project plan; Identify tasks, define timing, and manage resources accordingly
• confident and able to liaise and influence at all levels within Vodafone and/or relevant customer organizations Configuration Automation
• Assist the team to develop processes that facilitate the effective scaling and delivery of computing, network, and application service

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in IT deployments at
least 5 years’ experience with one or more
cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• At least 7 years working within an
enterprise-wide architecture
• Experience with containerization
technologies (Kubernetes/Docker)
• At least 4 years’ experience with one or
more of Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
utilized for deploying both on-premises and
cloud platforms
• Python, Ruby, Go is highly preferable
• Software or Web development skills are
plus.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
• Update the technical documentation and the
team knowledge base.
