What you’ll do

The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining front-end applications using React Native and TypeScript. This position focuses on developing user-friendly mobile interfaces and ensuring seamless user experiences. The engineer will collaborate closely with senior developers and designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional and responsive applications. Additionally, the role involves writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detailoriented and passionate about front-end development.

Who you are

Key Accountabilities and decision ownwership

1. Implementing React Native App:

  • Develop the React Native app based on Figma designs, ensuring alignment with existing application design.
  • Make technical decisions regarding the implementation, including selecting libraries and frameworks.

2. Integration with Backend APIs:

  • Implement and manage backend API integrations for seamless data flow.
  • Decide on strategies for error handling, data synchronization, and API security.

3. Testing and Troubleshooting:

  • Support end-to-end testing, identify and troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards.
  • Make decisions on testing strategies, tools, and methodologies.

4. App Release Process:

  • Assist in preparing the app for submission to app stores and manage version control.
  • Decide on deployment strategies and handle app store submission requirements.

5. Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

1. Technical Proficiency

  • Expertise in React Native and TypeScript for mobile app development.
  • Strong understanding of frontend frameworks and libraries.

2. API Integration

  • Experience in integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and managing data flow.

3. UI/UX Design Implementation

  • Ability to translate Figma designs into functional and visually appealing interfaces.

4. Testing and Debugging

  • Proficiency in end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring app quality.

5. Release Management

  • Knowledge of app release processes, version control, and deployment to app stores.
