Role Purpose

The Group Brand & Media team’s remit covers brand strategy, creative, media, identity and orchestration across all Vodafone global markets. For context, Vodafone is one of the largest advertisers in the world with a budget of €750m.

We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Writer to join our in-house creative studio. As a vital member of our design team, you will be responsible for crafting clear, concise, and compelling copy that enhances user experiences across our digital platforms. Your work will directly contribute to the intuitive and engaging interactions our customers have with our products and services. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the ideation, writing, editing, proofreading and delivery of a vast range of communications for the global brand team.

You’ll be able to adapt to different stakeholders, build relationships in a fast-paced environment and ensure the Vodafone tone of voice is implemented and understood at all customer touchpoints across the business.

You’ll be working under the Creative Director and next to Art Director (Copy) Designers, Video Editors and a Project Manager to help bring the new Vodafone creative vision to life.

What you’ll do

• Write and edit copy for a broad range of stakeholders and projects from all areas of the business
• Collaborate with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to define user interface
requirements for various digital products
• Edit app copy with UX guidance for UI designers to get the best customer flow journey
• Create copy for all digital channels like websites, emails, social and more
• Write and edit user-focused content, including UI text, labels, and instructional copy
that guides users through complex services
• Act as a tone of voice consultant within the business to provide guidance across all communications
• Understand the different language styles in translation for all markets
• Participate in the creative process from concept to completion, providing insights and recommendations
• Work with Adobe Workfront project management tool to ensure timely completion of all briefs
• Work closely with the legal and regulatory teams to ensure all content complies with industry standards and regulations

Who you are

• Extensive professional copywriting experience in-house or agency
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a UX writer or copywriter
• Telco or related tech industry experience would be beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of digital products and platforms
• Strong understanding of UX design principles and how content influences user behaviour and interaction
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiar with Agile project management tools like Workfront and design software like Figma
• Ability to build relationships with teams and senior leaders across the business
• Organised and reliable on delivery deadlines with attention to detail
• The more creative you are, the better
