The IoT Digital Engineering team is responsible for the Vodafone IoT Digitial Customer experience through the managed connectivity portals and new Vodafone IoT website following setup as a separate entity within Vodafone. We are looking for a passionate Lead Website Software Engineer to join us as Technical lead and Software Developer. You will be part of a rapidly growing team, take part & have opportunity to drive the Vodafone IoT Digital customer experience through portal and website development and will be in charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Build high quality, well-tested software
  • Select the most appropriate technologies aligning with the wider IoT Digital team to promote a culture of re-use across our Digital solutions.
  • Work with product teams and UX design to understand and define the deliverable requirements to meet customer experience expectations and timescale.
  • Define technical improvement areas and drive the software implementations with the best suited technologies and optimising cost.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and optimise the solution.

What you bring

  • 6+ Years of experience as a software engineer in website development.
  • Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Proven experience in modern software development & deployment
  • Strong experience of React
  • Strong experience with following technologies: TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML 5

Bonus points if you have:

  • Proven software development experience with microservices on cloud hyperscales (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes and Docker
  • Proven experience of unit & integration testing frameworks
  • Experience with web service technologies (REST, JSON, XML)
