Your day to day:

The Network Lifecycle Management Engineer is responsible for the daily operations and E2E infrastructure implementation of the Data Centre Network Infrastructure and technologies across the Vodafone Data Centre footprint, with a focus on routing activities, lifecycle management rollout and corresponding migrations. He is part of an international team, keeping up to date managed objects for best performance, monitor and implement customer requested solutions. Interaction with key network infrastructure vendors is expected.

Knowledge of the network infrastructures and of the network equipment is essential to manage properly the managed networks. Troubleshooting and network analysis capabilities are required for this role. Capability to proactively analyze the infrastructure in order to prevent problems that could reduce the network performance. Essential for the role are also soft skills as team player, basic understanding of project management and agile methodology, responsible attitude to actively drive activities to completion.

  • Support our customers with network analysis; pro-actively drive operations excellence by solving and preventing operational issues.
  • Develop, propose and implement network solutions that are both fit for use and fit for purpose, aligned with overall Data Center strategies
  • Coordinate changes initiated by Data Centre activities acting as SPOC for assigned projects.
  • Actively influences operational efficiency and operability of the deployed connectivity solutions.
  • Seeks clarification of risks before taking action to guarantee business continuity

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Cisco (CCNP Data Center, CCIE, …)
  • Arista (ACE-P, ACE-E, …)
  • HPE (Certificates for data center, SDN and cloud solutions)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with data center and cloud technologies from Cisco, HPE and/or Arista
  • Knowledge of scripting, network automation (Ansible ,..) and programming (Python, …)
  • Excellent knowledge of the Network data Centre infrastructures
  • Excellent knowledge of Data Center Network equipment operation and of TCP/IP, Routing and switching Protocol (mainly Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and Fortinet)
  • UNIX and scripting knowledge to perform typical network tasks automatically.
  • Good knowledge of cloud and NFV technologies (ACI, OpenStack, NSX, …)
