Role Purpose
The Product & Services (P&S) team within Group Commercial and Operations delivers and manages end-to-end best-in-class products and services to support Vodafone’s differentiation in all our markets. The P&S team is organised into three product domains (Flex, Home & Mobile) and various local P&S teams embedded within local markets.
The Flex directorate leads our innovation, fintech, subscriptions and circular economy products, delivering on Vodafone’s vision of ‘giving customers all the tech they want for the life they choose’.
The role of Product Manager for Marketplaces will sit within our Subscriptions tribe, with key responsibilities as follows:
1. Product management of Vodafone’s Subscription+ content platform, acting as the voice of the customer and owning the multi-year vision to deliver best-in-class capabilities for Vodafone local markets.
2. Leadership of product relationships with existing content partners (Spotify, Sky, Amazon etc), working through a direct and matrixed team of stakeholders.
3. Working as the key commercial stakeholder with the Group Technology team, prioritising different Epics across the delivery squads and engaging at a detailed level where needed to ensure timely delivery of projects.
4. Act as the senior product lead interacting on business development opportunities to deliver Subscription+ and content services outside of the wholly owned Vodafone markets.
5. Full accountability (including P&L) for AppBox, leading the relationship with the supplier (currently Unity/Ironsource), engaging with local market stakeholders, defining the product features and journeys and managing in life operational issues.
What you’ll do
• Identify the best products, feature sets for future product capabilities and for specific country requirements
• Lead product squad requirements in PI planning sessions and other regular agile ceremonies and make sure delivery cycles are planned based on overall vision
• Work closely with charging chapter, technology and delivery teams to design and deliver platform capabilities and integration to 3rd party content eco-system
• Work closely with User Experience team to ensure excellent customer journeys
• Maintain close relationships with Vodafone markets to understand their content strategy, partner roadmaps and capability requirements
Who you are
• Experience working as a product manager/owner; understanding of designing and building digital products and portfolios in an agile environment (5+ years)
• Knowledge of subscription-based over the top industry, including key content providers and business models
• Hands on experience working in agile teams as Product manager/owner using JIRA or other applicable tools. Familiarity with SAFE framework is desired
• Ability to work across large multi-market virtual teams and with external organisations (both content partners and telcos outside the Vodafone footprint)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence sponsors and executive level management
• Creative and Innovative thinking
• Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, Figma skills
• Experience as a leader in international/matrix product environment
• Experience of Agile product management and ability to work with technical experts

• Yearly bonus: 10%
