Role Purpose

We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the strategy, vision and priorities the roadmap of our Telco as a Service Platform and developer experience products. The role is global supporting all group functions and operating companies within in the Vodafone Group’s Cloud Engineering’s product portfolio, known as TaaS (Telco-as-a-Service). TaaS aims to bring our engineers from across the globe together to create a catalogue of reusable engineering capabilities in a completely self-service manner, including a shared cloud engineering platform which hosts multitenant cloud native applications. As a Product Manager within in Cloud Engineering, you are primarily responsible for maximizing the value delivered by squads delivering our Developer Experience tooling e.g. Backstage, DevSecOps pipelines etc. and our TaaS platform (multi-cloud development platform). You will use your technical expertise to close the gap between the technical and business stakeholders to guide technological and architecture changes while aligning with the overall product development roadmap and communicating it across agile teams.

What you’ll do

  • As a Product Manager you are the bridge between our technical delivery teams, product owners and our software engineering communities to direct, inform and prioritize the order of work (roadmap and backlog) to maximize value within constraints of resource, budget, compliance.
  • Contribute to the Cloud Engineering's portfolio of products (TaaS) to create a single vision and roadmap, own the Dev Ex roadmap and backlog by working with members of the product management team to generate a consistent set of priorities and handle interdependencies between cloud engineering platform feature delivery.
  • Act as technical advisor to stakeholders, and support the squad team in delivering value.
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to set and manage expectations about budget, delivery, and timelines.
  • Support the product owner in agile ceremonies, such as, Programme Increment Planning, Sprint planning, retrospectives, daily stand ups.

Who you are

  • Hands on experience in a technology domain, preferably cloud, infrastructure as code or DevOps related.
  • Experience in a Technical Product Owner/Manager role or similar roles: owning value driven roadmaps and backlogs and leading delivery teams to make them happen.
  • Familiar with cloud and DevOps technologies practices, processes, and standards. Key components of stack used in the team: AWS, GCP, microservices & serverless infrastructure (Kubernetes, service mesh), API gateways, CICD: Azure DevOps, Back Stage and GitHub, and working in Agile team.
  • Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence colleagues in other departments.
  • Highly energetic, with a 'can-do' attitude and courageous lateral thinking and Strong analytical profile with problem-solving skills.
