Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

What you’ll do

As Software Engineering Manager you will help develop our engineering talent and build highly performant, inclusive and results driven teams. You’ll use your knowledge of software engineering to support shaping of new projects and support the development of developers.

• You will support, coach, and develop a team of 4-6 engineers through regular 1:1’s, feedback sessions and performance reviews.
• You will drive personal development of your reports including ownership of engineering growth and progression.
• You will lead an engineering squad to ensure a high-performing team that consistently deliver high impact, high quality work.
• You will take accountability of all front-end work through your application, including the quality of the work beneath you.
• You will be responsible for the quality of your application. Including understanding the test plan, what your coverage is like and how it can be improved.
• You will support hiring, onboarding, and retention of diverse talented software engineers.

Who you are


• You will have experience managing a similar engineering team, including engineers, seniors and leads.
• You will have knowledge and passion for software development including JavaScript, React and Node.js.
• You will have knowledge of manual and automated testing.
• You will have previously worked as a Software Engineer as a senior level.
• You will have experience working in an agile development environment.
