Your place in the team
This IT Test Chapter Manager role is responsible for providing expert knowledge of all the used testing tools, methods, rules and principles of Vodafone Hungary. The role is also responsible for implementation and operation methods, and ceremonies, tools to provide support and facilitation, continuously increasing velocity, stability and team productivity.
This role is responsible for leading and managing the IT Test Chapter team that delivers and operates testing methods, tools and coordinating testing phases.
This role is responsible for recruiting, maintaining and growing appropriate IT Test engineering, Test manager capacity and competencies to enable the target business and technical outcomes within schedule and within budget.
This role is responsible for managing the finances and sourcing for the IT Test Chapter, define and plan future workforce growth and sourcing strategies, and budgeting.
This role will be required to create, lead, manage, and mentor a practice of IT Test automation engineers across the IT Test Chapter ensuring the development, implementation, maintenance and operation of highly skilled and motivated practice members.
You will be involved in the following tasks
•Lead and manage the IT Test engineering team and support Vodafone HU Test Strategy and Vodafone HU Portfolio
•Actively cooperates with his/hers contacts both within the company (local, regional, global) as well as the ones located at vendor.
•Propose and implement test automation possibilities and improve test efficiency
•Represent the team in IT Test related meetings
•Allocate the needed resources for System Integration tests
•Own the Backlog of IT Test Chapter
•Enable the digital vision by leading technical delivery aligned with the digital vision, strategy, and objectives
•Facilitate and empowers test engineering team in achieving high performances in solution delivery and operations ensuring quality standards are achieved.
•Manage recruitment, capacity, performance and finances for the IT Test Chapter
•Act as supporting leader, rather than line manager, aiming at maturing the organisation readiness, vs. controlling the work
•Acts as a mentor for the specialist resources in their practice, helping them grow in expertise and experience new areas
•Provide estimate regarding quotations, resource needs and feasible delivery dates
•Make sure that the technical solutions fit into the existing and target VFH IT architecture
•Facilitate solution compliance to security, privacy, and regulatory needs
•Review and approve vendors’ proposals and quotations
•Co-operate with Operations, Infrastructure and Security Teams to ensure stability and performance of the production release
•Execute insource initiatives for the area
•Ensure Group and Local KPIs to be meet
•Introduce automation for more effective work in all adequate areas
•Continuously improve his/her competence and technological knowledge in his/her area
We are looking for you if you have
•IT or Telco specific university degree
•At least 8 years working experience
•At least 6 years of experience in IT development and operations industry
•Agile and waterfall software development environment and methods
•Test automation, performance testing methodologies and tools
•Lean / agile portfolio and program management
•Capacity planning and workforce plans
•Highly motivated, autonomous individual focused on business’ needs
•Excellent analytical skills
•Outstanding communication and presentation skills
•Customer focused approach
•Focused on the timely delivery of results
•Innovative and proactive approach
•Strong oral and verbal English knowledge
•Ability of working within a team and/or individually
•Coordinate testers works by technical aspects
•Direct supplier-customer relationship with the requesters and stakeholders of the business departments
•Indirect supplier-customer relationship towards the whole of the company
•Indirect supplier-customer relationship towards the company’s customer base
