What you’ll do

The successful candidate is proficient in Java backend coding, with a track record. His primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining the code, writing unit tests and proposing technical solutions for implementing new functionalities in Digital area. Needs to be team oriented and to easily collaborate with other developers, system analysts, architects, quality assurance and Devops engineers in order to deliver and maintain new features to the product

What you'll do:

  • Understand the functional and technical specifications, which will be further used to transform application prototypes into high quality software products;
  • Participate with input together with System analysts and Solution Architects in creation of end to end solution for newly functionalities, with attention to details but having all the time the big picture in mind;
  • Understand the Business objectives and keep end customer experience as a primary goal in designing the solutions with respect also on architectural and coding principles;
  • Develop well-structured & well documented code following company standards;
  • Document enhancements made and system changes;
  • Plan and schedule deployment deliverables, goals and milestones;
  • Provide technical solutions to complex programming problems;
  • Troubleshooting in the area of responsibility in order to find and fix the encountered issues;
  • Embrace the Agile way of working mindset;
  • Work effectively as part of a team.

Technical / professional qualifications and expertise:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience developing software in Java 8+;
  • Working experience building APIs (REST mainly / SOAP);
  • Knowledge of server applications like: Weblogic Server, JBoss, Tomcat;
  • Knowledge of databases (MariaDB / MySQL; Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc);
  • Understanding concepts like: web service, REST / SOAP, WebSocket, async / sync communication, cache;
  • Experience working with Git / Gitlab, Jenkins, Jira, Confluance;
  • Proven experience in delivery and tuning of complex technologies and complex real time, highly transactional, retail, distributed architecture stacks;
  • A can-do attitude and lots of enthusiasm;
  • Able to work well within a multinational, multicultural environment.

Must have:

  • Proven working experience in developing solutions with Java SpringBoot / WebFlux / JEE;
  • Knowledge / working experience with TMF framework can be an advantage;
  • Experience with Agile methodology is a plus;
