Your day to day:
Design, implement, test, and install user services into production, based on software (SW) and hardware (HW) information systems and tools, for the connectivity services area serving B2B Enterprise customers. These user services are either developed based on specific requirements from B2B customers or represent technological evolution in the Vodafone network systems.
The role involves analysing user service requirements from specific external customers and translating them into technical specifications for software (SW) and hardware (HW). It includes generating SW integration plans between the IT systems hosting the user service and the existing IT systems of external customers. Additionally, the role encompasses performing functional testing of SW packages associated with user services, ensuring compatibility with customer premises equipment (CPEs) to be installed at customer sites.
Managing information systems by monitoring service quality and traffic capacity within the designated area of responsibility by creating reports to analyse service performance. Additionally, the role requires periodic analysis of the hardware (HW) and software (SW) technological evolution of the information systems, ensuring alignment with industry trends.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:
- Create the network evolution plan for Enterprise customers together with connectivity solution providers (Metro-Ethernet, L2 Fiber)
- Develop and integrate applications, software components, and scripts for provisioning and monitoring connectivity services tailored to B2B Enterprise customers.
- Ensure alignment with the architecture and strategy of fixed access network technologies, while efficiently adapting to local needs and requirements.
- Conduct testing activities, including analysing technical requirements, developing test specifications, executing tests, creating test reports, identifying errors, and troubleshooting/triaging problems for Enterprise services.
- Design and implement solutions that include hardware and software components and ensure their delivery to local markets.
- Deliver tailored solutions for customer offers, feasibility studies, and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
With these skills you are a great candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, IT Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Fluent English
- At least 3 years of experience with fixed networks (broadband, IP)
- Advanced knowledge in:
- NGA (Next Generation Access) networks
- IP Routing
- CPEs and CPE Management
- Software development (scripts, SDN)
- Network monitoring systems
