Accountabilities:
Accountable for defining CI/CD pipelines for SIEM, SOAR and/or Big Data tooling.
Accountable for implementation and continuous improvement of operational monitoring framework.
Accountable for the integration of platforms following industry best practices.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert to provide guidance and advice on technology and support for the definition and implementation of the roadmap.
Supporting the evaluation of new design methods and technologies to protect against existing and emerging security threats.
Engage with Security Architecture and Security Design teams to define and develop automated capabilities.
Work cooperatively within the Security Operations Centre and other Cyber Security teams to establish and maintain a strong and supportive relationship with customers.
Act as a point of escalation for other Engineers and provide guidance and mentoring.
Developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
Developing high quality code (e.g., Python, Bash)
Developing continuous integration / deployment pipelines.
Operational monitoring, preferably in the context of site reliability engineering.
Working in a cloud-native environment using open-source tools.
Using and maintaining automation infrastructure (e.g., Git, CI/CD backend, container registry)
Strong analytical skills to inform effective data driven decisions on service improvement & risk reduction.
Active & compelling engagement of people and stakeholders, across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, up to and including Cyber Security Leadership Team level.
Experience:
• Build and maintain personal and professional client relationships, Work well with different personalities
• Experience of working on projects that span multi-disciplinary areas of differing size and complexity to meet business expectations and deliver results.
• Develop and manage a project plan; Identify tasks, define timing, and manage resources accordingly
• confident and able to liaise and influence at all levels within Vodafone and/or relevant customer organizations Configuration Automation
• Assist the team to develop processes that facilitate the effective scaling and delivery of computing, network, and application services
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in IT deployments at least 5 years’ experience with one or more cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• At least 7 years working within an enterprise-wide architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes/Docker)
• At least 4 years’ experience with one or more of Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet utilized for deploying both on-premises and cloud platforms
• Python, Ruby, Go is highly preferable
• Software or Web development skills are plus.
• ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
• Update the technical documentation and the team knowledge base.
