Job Responsibilities

- Planning, conceptualizing, and rolling out a global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) from the idea to go-live, as well as managing and continuously optimizing operations and support.
- Leading and executing projects, including the professional management of interdisciplinary project team members, milestone control, and performance acceptance.
- Creating, refining, and accepting epics, features, and user stories developed by development teams, with clear acceptance criteria aligned with central MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) product management.
- Coordinating and creating test scenarios and test specifications.
- Coordinating test processes, acceptance tests, commissioning, and accompanying hypercare phases.
- Rolling out modules for recipe management systems, order management, order execution/digital shop floor worker guidance, negotiating connections between MES and batch systems, interfaces to production logistics, data provision for reporting, and data analytics.
- Intensive professional coordination with all development teams within the MOM cluster: MES, OEE/Productivity Management, WMS (Warehouse Management/In-Plant Logistics), LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).

Qualifications Required

- Completed university degree in computer science or comparable extensive relevant experience (at least 5-10 years).
- Relevant experience in development, project management, or quality assurance of MES/MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) systems at the operational control level/production control systems.
- Ideally, experience in the conception or demand management of IT solutions for the process industry and production, specifically MES and MOM systems.
- Networked end-to-end mindset between automation level, process control level, MES, and ERP, particularly SAP PP/PI/MM/QM.
- Strong affinity for modern scalable IT delivery processes (e.g. DevOps) and agile requirements engineering.
- Fundamental affinity for message broker systems and streaming platforms (Kafka or similar).
- Experience as a T-Shaped Professional in microservice architecture, Kubernetes, .NET C# would be advantageous.
- Team player with strong communication skills in english, german language skills are a plus.
