As a Software Engineer (iOS), you will be joining a mobile platform team that will shape the next chapter in Lounge by Zalando customer experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a team to contribute to central infrastructure and components for enabling all engineers to easily build product features, in a most efficient way. We’ll support your growth and provide opportunities to work with modern technologies.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)
You will be part of a cross functional team and play a key role in solution design, planning, development, delivery, operating and improving scalable software solutions for iOS application of Lounge by Zalando.
Together with your multidisciplinary team, you contribute to the codebases and you lean on your iOS experience and skill set, write robust, testable and maintainable code aiming at very high quality and clean code.
Take an active role in work towards reducing ambiguity, understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions and requirements.
Collaborate closely with platform engineers to align on best practices, contribute technical designs and proposals, work on core infrastructure projects, refine the functional requirements and ensure efficient delivery.
Proactively learn, suggest, and implement improvements while contributing to the technical design of new features to ensure scalability, testability, and maintainability
Participate in code reviews, adhere to best practices sharing and developing your expertise together with your team and you use feedback as an opportunity for growth.
Stay up-to-date with the latest announcements from Apple WWDC, as well as new iOS frameworks, tools, and technologies, to ensure development processes remain modern and efficient.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF
You have 3+ years of professional iOS development experience with Swift, and you are eager to work with new technologies, challenge yourself, and deliver high-quality code.
Experienced with Swift and iOS frameworks and APIs, including UIKit, Foundation, Swift Concurrency (Async/Await), Core Animation, Combine, and more.
Familiar with working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and networking, along with understanding of software design patterns and paradigms.
Knowledge and experience with MVC, MVVM, VIPER, VIP and other architectural patterns.
You are enthusiastic about working with core infrastructure technologies to enhance iOS applications.
You write well structured, readable, and maintainable code that is resilient, reliable and covered by unit tests.
You have experience with profiling, debugging, and optimizing iOS applications for performance and memory usage.
You are motivated to grow your skills, learn new technologies and apply them to your work.
You bring a positive attitude and take ownership of your tasks, ensuring high-quality results.
